I’m Shakana—a registered nurse and nurse practitioner with 24+ years in healthcare. I’ve worked across emergency rooms, primary care clinics, and community health programs, and I’m deeply committed to closing the health equity gap—especially for Black and brown mothers.

As a mom, caregiver, and advocate, I know firsthand the gaps families face during and after birth. That’s why I founded HWPC Solutions and wrote You Will Live. My mission is to offer the clarity, compassion, and tools that every family deserves on their journey to wellness.
